Service Learning ― Cultivating ethical values

Showa’s Service Learning program in which our students are participating, is an experienced-based volunteer project which combines social outreach and self-improvement through learning. With this learning, students can appreciate the current social conditions and problems. It aims to foster positive personal qualities through volunteer activities in a social setting.
Through this experience, they can contribute both locally and to the global community, thus enabling them to experience various ways of thinking and develop a sense of accomplishment through roleplaying with a view to their future career path.

At Showa Women’s University, our affiliated college, the Community Service Learning Center was established in 2006. We invite volunteer students from the center to come to our school as advisers to our students.
